Cleanse Your Aura in 5 Steps

We may brush our teeth, wash our hands, and bathe our bodies every day, but not many of us know how to keep energetically clean.

If we’re living a balanced lifestyle, this should happen naturally. When we’re overworked, malnourished, and sleep deprived, however, our energetic hygiene can get neglected.

Why is this important? Because when we look at our bodies under a strong enough microscope, we see that we’re essentially made up of atoms — which is energy.

An organism’s energy is not restricted to just its physical form but extends outward in an egg shape.

The egg shaped energy is what we call the aura and it can be witnessed using Kirlian photography. Just like the body, the aura needs to be taken care of to ensure optimum health.



If your aura needs to be cleansed you may feel:

  • Lethargic
  • Depressed
  • Anxious
  • A “heavy” feeling over or around you
By cleansing your aura daily (ideally in the morning and night), you rid yourself of negative energies that you’ve picked up from your environment or the people around you.

When I say “negativity” I’m referring to heavy emotions from others, daily stresses, thought forms, cords, and other types of energetic phenomena that drain our vital energy.

It’s important to note that we are meant to experience life and all of the wonderful opportunities that come with it. “Dirtying” your aura from everyday experiences is normal… just remember to clean it!



Below I’ve listed 5 ways that I find very effective in clearing the aura of negative energy:

5. Crystal Work



Black Tourmaline is one of my favorite stones to use; it not only cleanses the aura of negativity but also, when worn as a pendant or kept somewhere on the body, protects the aura by shielding it from unwanted energy throughout the day.

Some other crystals that are great for cleansing the aura are fire agate, black kyanite, smokey quartz, labradorite.

4. Sage or “Smudging”

The smoke from burning sage has been used for many years to cleanse the aura or the environment of unwanted energies. It can be purchased at most metaphysical stores.

It has a powerful cleansing effect and after using it on my aura or around my home I always feel relaxed and renewed.

3. Essential Oils

My favorite essential oils for cleansing the aura are bergamot, cedarwood, and orange. You can add a few drops of these oils to a carrier oil and apply it directly to the skin or add it to a nebulizer/diffuser to cleanse both your aura and home/office space.

These essential oils specifically are great for purifying, grounding, and uplifting the energy.

2. Sea Salt Baths

Salt has been known to have a cleansing and balancing effect on the body for ages. If you’re not close to an ocean, bathing in an Epsom salt or Dead Sea salt bath can be tremendously relieving and cleansing after a stressful day.

Sea salt baths can also help skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema and soothe sore and achy muscles. Swimming or bathing in salt water cleanses, refreshes, and reenergizes the energy body.

1. Enjoying Nature

Getting into the elements is perhaps the most powerful way to cleanse the energy body. Although just being outside is beneficial, fully immersing yourself in nature is the best way to cleanse and ground yourself.

Gardening, walking in the woods, and sitting by a body of water or a bonfire are all powerful ways you can get close to nature and rid the aura of negative energy.

The study of consciousness has gained a huge amount of attention over the past decade as we begin to not only realize more about the true nature of our world, but as the growing desire to truly discover ourselves becomes something we can’t ignore any longer.

Quantum physics may have just proven that there is an afterlife. Scientist Robert Lanza claims that the theory of biocentrism teaches that death as we know it is an illusion created by our consciousness.

Professor Robert Lanza claims that life creates the universe, and not the other way around. Lanza is no newbie to controversy. He has been working with cloning and stem cell research for over a decade and with his new book Biocentrism, he is attracting even more controversy.

While his ideas are ahead of their time, it doesn’t help that the current scientific community is very opposed to new ideas and change.

This means space and time doesn’t exist in the linear fashion we think it does and he uses the famous double-split experiment to illustrate his point.


According to Lanzas study, if space and time aren’t linear, then death can’t exist in any real sense either. When it comes to these ideas, they are usually known on an intuitive level and later move towards being proven at a scientific level. I personally feel that we give so much weight to our rational, objective left brained mind that we lose sight of a world that exists right alongside it.

There is a whole other side to us and this world that we close ourselves off to in order to stay as scientific as possible. This is one of the greatest hindrances we can put ourselves through as one of
the most powerful tools we have, our intuition/heart brain, is then cast aside. The same thinking that allows us to realize amazing scientific discoveries can also get us stuck in scientific delusions should we not stay open to change.


We are seeing this in a huge way as we look at the divides that are being created in the medical andscientific fields. Some are holding onto old ways, while others see what has been right in front of us the whole time, simply by thinking with more than just the mind (with the heart.) It’s important to note that although these ideas seem and are profound, they have been known for a long while but simply have not been accepted by current culture.

Religious Children are Meaner and More Punitive than Secular Kids, Study Finds

 In a study to find out if kids who grow up with a strong religious background are nicer, more compassionate and more kind than secular children, it was revealed that religious kids are simply more mean, less-tolerant, more-punitive, and less-forgiving than kids who don’t grow up in a religious household.

Looking at mostly Christian, Muslim and secular children, researchers from a number of different universities around the world coordinated to compare the behavior and attitudes a group of around 1200 children from many backgrounds.

The study conducted social experiments to determine how the children reacted in differing scenarios involving concepts like sharing, as well as their reactions to scenarios where bullying occurred. Included were four key tests:

Dictator Game –
In this task, children were shown a set of 30 stickers and were told to choose their ten favorite. They were then told "these stickers are yours to keep." Children were instructed that the experimenter did not have the time to play this game with all of the children in their school, so not everyone would be able to receive stickers.

Moral Sensitivity Task –
In this computerized task, used previously with children in both behavioral and functional neuroimaging studies, a series of short dynamic visual scenarios depicting interpersonal harm (e.g., pushing, bumping) was presented.

Maternal Education –
As a metric for socioeconomic status, parents were asked to specify the level of education of the mother.

Child Dispositional Measures –
The Questionnaire of Cognitive and Affective Empathy (QCAE) to assess children’s empathy and the justice sensitivity inventory to measure children’s sensitivity to injustice were reported by parents.

According to the report the conclusions:

“Robustly demonstrate that children from households identifying as either of the two major world religions (Christianity and Islam) were less altruistic than children from non-religious households.”
The 3 key conclusions of the study are:


  1. Family religious identification decreases children’s altruistic behaviors
  2. Religiousness predicts parent-reported child sensitivity to injustices and empathy
  3. Children from religious households are harsher in their punitive tendencies
Additionally, it appears that as children grow the negative behaviors and attitudes increase, as the study showed that older children had the highest rates of meanness and judgments of meanness.


Over half of the world’s population self-identifies with either Islam or Christianity:

“As of 2010, Christianity was by far the world’s largest religion, with an estimated 2.2 billion adherents, nearly a third (31 percent) of all 6.9 billion people on Earth… Islam was second, with 1.6 billion adherents, or 23 percent of the global population.” [Source]
The interesting question that this study raises is, ‘does religion help people to become more moral and virtuous? The answer appears to be no, it does not.

However, in 2014 a worldwide Pew research survey found that most people around the world believe that religion is essential to morality. The recent study contradicts this commonly held belief.

“While it is generally accepted that religion contours people’s moral judgments and pro-social behaviour, the relation between religion and morality is a contentious one.’ [Source]
At at time when the world is looking down the barrel of a global holy war between Islam and Christianity, many people are asking if religion is vital for moral development, and it appears that it may in fact not be.

This is Not New Age Bulls**t — The Real Effects That Earthing Can Have On Your Body

Grounding, or ‘earthing,’ as some people call it, involves placing your feet directly on the ground without shoes or socks as a barrier.

The logic behind this practice relates to the intense negative charge carried by the Earth. This charge is electron-rich, theoretically serving as a good supply of antioxidants and free-radical destroying electrons.

Dr. James Oschman, a PhD in biology from the University of Pittsburgh and an expert in the field of energy medicine, notes:


"Subjective reports that walking barefoot on the Earth enhances health and provides feelings of well-being can be found in the literature and practices of diverse cultures from around the world. For a variety of reasons, many individuals are reluctant to walk outside barefoot, unless they are on holiday at the beach." (source)
It makes sense if you think about it; in our most natural state, we wouldn’t really be wearing any sort of cover on our feet.

A study published a couple of years ago in the Journal of Environmental and Public Health titled “Earthing: Health Implications of Reconnecting the Human Body to the Earth’s Surface Electrons” postulates that earthing could represent a potential treatment/solution to a variety of chronic degenerative diseases.

It concluded that simple contact with the Earth, through being either outside barefoot or indoors connected to grounded conductive systems, could serve as a natural and “profoundly effective environmental strategy” against chronic stress, ANS dysfunction, inflammation, pain, poor sleep, disturbed HRV, hyper-coagulable blood, and many common health disorders, including cardiovascular disease.

The study concludes:


The research done to date supports the concept that grounding or earthing the human body may be an essential element in the health equation along with sunshine, clean air and water, nutritious food, and physical activity. (source)
Another study, conducted by the Department of Neurosurgery from the Military Clinical Hospital in Powstancow Warszawy, along with other affiliates like the Poland Medical University, found that blood urea concentrations are lower in subjects who are earthed (connected to the earth potential with the use of copper wire) during physical exercise and that earthing during exercise resulted in improved exercise recovery.

It concluded:

These results suggest that earthing during exercise inhibits hepatic protein catabolism or increases renal urea excretion. Earthing during exercise affects protein metabolism, resulting in a positive nitrogen balance. This phenomenon has fundamental importance in understanding human metabolic processes and may have implications in training programs for athletes. (source)
A study published last year from the Developmental and Cell Biology Department at the University of California at Irvine found that grounding the human body improves facial blood flow regulation. (source)

As mentioned earlier, studies have found grounding to reduce blood viscosity, which is a major factor in cardiovascular disease. (source)

One study, published in the Journal of Alternative and Complimentary Medicine, even concluded that earthing may be “the primary factor regulating the endocrine and nervous system.” (source)


According to a review published in the Journal of Inflammation Research:


"Grounding reduces or even prevents the cardinal signs of inflammation following injury: redness, heat, swelling, pain, and loss of function (Figures 1 and 2).

"Rapid resolution of painful chronic inflammation was confirmed in 20 case studies using medical infrared imaging (Figure 3)... Our main hypothesis is that connecting the body to the Earth enables free electrons from the Earth’s surface to spread over and into the body, where they can have antioxidant effects.

"Specifically, we suggest that mobile electrons create an antioxidant microenvironment around the injury repair field, slowing or preventing reactive oxygen species (ROS) delivered by the oxidative burst from causing “collateral damage” to healthy tissue, and preventing or reducing the formation of the so-called “inflammatory barricade”.

"We also hypothesize that electrons from the Earth can prevent or resolve so-called “silent” or “smoldering” inflammation." (source)

Hence, dreams become even more essential and of greater consequence for understanding ourselves.

We must listen to what our inner guide is saying by interpreting the message it is trying to communicate to us, and which many of us (because of lack of practice) only hear faintly.




How to Interpret Dreams

There is no formula for analyzing dreams. Interpreting dreams is about thoughtful revision of what you have experienced in your dream and dig deeper into their profound meaning.

Dreams are personal experiences, hence your dreams have to be understood purely in context of your individuality and your journey of self-discovery.

To interpret your dreams, you will have to:

1. Record Your Dreams

This is a crucial step in analyzing and interpreting your dreams. Dreams are a communication from your unconscious and hence have to be first brought into the realm of the concrete, i.e. written and recorded.

Create a dream diary beside your bed where you can record whatever you can remember of your dream.

In case you do not remember the dream, simply write “no dream to record”. Within a few weeks, you will begin to remember the dreams.

2. Reflect and Identify Your State

Your written record of the dream does not show the state of your emotions. Hence, once you have jotted what you remembered from the dream, ask yourself: How was I feeling during the dream? How was I feeling when you woke up?

This means you are informing yourself of the simple emotions that you felt during the dream: were you angry, unhappy, joyous, remorseful, etc.?

Now realize if what you felt during the dream has moved into your conscious: are you feeling the same way after you woke up from the dream? How comfortable are your feelings?

A new science fiction technology has just been invented that will allow you to wirelessly interface with your computer straight from your brain.

“In the Culture novels by Iain M. Banks, futuristic post-humans install devices on their brains called a “neural lace.” A mesh that grows with your brain, it’s essentially a wireless brain-computer interface. But it’s also a way to program your neurons to release certain chemicals with a thought. And now, there’s a neural lace prototype in real life.” –gizmodo
Recently published in the Nature Nanotechnology was a group of engineers and chemists that got together to work on a new ultra-fine mesh nanotechnology that can merge into your brain. This connection appears to be a seamless interface between biological circuitry and machine.

The device known as “mesh electronics,” is so thin and flexible that it is able to be injected with a needle. The scientists have already tested the new tech on mice who have not only survived the procedure, but they are now thriving. The researchers call the technique and device as “syringe-injectable electronics.”

Scientists said that there are a lot of potential uses for this new technology including monitoring brain wave activity, delivering treatments to people with brain disorders such as Parkinson’s, and possibly even enhancing the brain’s capabilities.



Devin Powell the Writer for the paper on this new technology in the Smithsonian magazine, says that a number of groups are now investing in this exciting new research, including the military:

Study researcher Charles Lieber’s] backers include Fidelity Biosciences, a venture capital firm interested in new ways to treat neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s disease. The military has also taken an interest, providing support through the U.S. Air Force’s Cyborgcell program, which focuses on small-scale electronics for the “performance enhancement” of cells.

Right now the mice who have the implants are connected via a wire to computers. In the future, however, the technology would become wireless. One of the most interesting parts about this mesh is that the mouse’s brain was able to grow around it and formed its own connections to the wire. Eventually, the mouse’s brain accepted the mechanical parts as a part of its own biochemical system.

Researcher Liber and his fellow researchers are hoping to begin human testing as soon as they can, however, it is likely that it will be many years from now.

It is still interesting to think that this could be the first true type of cyborg human brain enhancing technology. Can you image being connected to the internet inside of your brain? What Does The Way You Sleep Say About Your Relationship?

The closeness of a couple and how happy they are in their relationship is reflected in the distance between them as they sleep, a new study has claimed.

Partners who slept less than an inch apart were more likely to be content with their relationship than those maintaining a gap of more than 30 inches between them.

Couples who spent the night touching were also happier than partners who upheld a “no touching rule” while asleep, according to the survey which looked at the responses of 1,000 people.

The study found the overwhelming majority (86 per cent) of couples who slept less than an inch away from each other claimed to be happy with their relationship compared with two-thirds (66 per cent) who slept more than 30 inches apart.

What Does The Way You Sleep Say About Your Relationship?
It also revealed the most popular positions, with almost half (42 per cent) lying back to back, and nearly a third (31 per cent) facing the same direction. Four per cent face one another.

Twelve per cent of couples spent the night less than an inch apart while just 2 per cent slept more than 30 inches apart.

University of Hertfordshire psychologist Professor Richard Wiseman, who led the study, said: "One of the most important differences involved touching. Ninety four per cent of couples who spent the night in contact with one another were happy with their relationship, compared to just 68 per cent of those that didn't touch.

The study was conducted as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival. Prof Wiseman is the author of Night School, which examines the science of sleep and dreaming.

Embracing someone may warm your heart, but according to one study a hug can be good medicine for it too: In an experiment at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill , participants who didn’t have any contact with their partners developed a quickened heart rate of 10 beats per minute compared to the five beats per minute among those who got to hug their partners during the experiment.

Doing crossword puzzles is good for your brain -- but not as good as having orgasms, apparently.

Rutgers researchers Barry Komisaruk and Nan Wise, who study human pleasure, recruited female subjects willing to bring themselves to orgasm while lying in an fMRI machine that measured blood flow to different parts of the brain. These experiments showed that orgasms increase blood flow to all parts of the brain -- bringing nutrients and oxygenation along, too.

"Mental exercises increase brain activity but only in relatively localized regions,” Komisaruk told Will Pavia for the Times Of London. “Orgasm activates the whole.”

As well as keeping your brain sharp, orgasms are thought to decrease stress, ease depression and increase longevity. Komisaruk is also spearheading research on how orgasms can block pain.

In November 2011, writer Kayt Sukel volunteered as a subject for Komisaruk's research. In an article about her experience for The Guardian, Sukel explained that the most difficult part of the experience was remaining still enough during the scan to keep the data viable -- and explaining to her friends what she was up to.



"If you ever want to make even the most cosmopolitan of your friends speechless, telling them you have volunteered to travel to Newark, New Jersey, so you can masturbate to orgasm in an fMRI is a great way to start," Sukel quipped in a blog post for the Huffington Post.

Komisaruk, who has been involved in this field of study since 1982, claims that his research is well-received by the academic community.

“We are desensitizing people,” he told the Times. “They used to be very squeamish about it and we’re very straightforward about it. They don’t make fun of it, we don’t make fun of it. A lot of people take it very seriously.”

Researchers at Oxford University found that kissing helps people evaluate potential partners and, once in a relationship, it may be a way to help partners stick around.

"Kissing in human sexual relationships is incredibly prevalent in various forms across just about every society and culture," researcher Rafael Wlodarski of Oxford University said in a news release. "Kissing is seen in our closest primate relatives, chimps and bonobos, but it is much less intense and less commonly used."

Researchers conducted online questionnaires in which over 900 adults answered questions about the importance of kissing in both short-term and long-term relationships.

"There are three main theories about the role that kissing plays in sexual relationships: that it somehow helps assess the genetic quality of potential mates; that it is used to increase arousal (to initiate sex for example); and that it is useful in keeping relationships together. We wanted to see which of these theories held up under closer scrutiny," Wlodarski explained.

The findings revealed that women rated kissing as generally more important in relationships than men. What's more, men and women who rated themselves as being attractive, or who tended to have more casual encounters, also rated kissing as being more important.

Because the survey revealed that men and women who are more attractive, or have more casual sex, also tend to be more selective when initially choosing a partner, researchers say that kissing may be a way for people to assess potential mates. Previous research suggests that kissing may allow people to subconsciously assess a potential partner through taste or smell, evaluating biological cues for compatibility, genetic fitness or general health.

"Mate choice and courtship in humans is complex," Professor Robin Dunbar said in a news release. "It involves a series of periods of assessments where people ask themselves "shall I carry on deeper into this relationship?" Initial attraction may include facial, body and social cues. Then assessments become more and more intimate as we go deeper into the courtship stages, and this is where kissing comes in."

"In choosing partners, we have to deal with the 'Jane Austen problem': How long do you wait for Mr. Darcy to come along when you can't wait forever and there may be lots of you waiting just for him? At what point do you have to compromise for the curate?" he said.
